How to Install

What You’ll Need

Before we dive into the magic of transforming your locks, grab these must-haves:

  1. Sectioning Comb : Essential for creating those flawless partings.
  2. Large Hair Clips : To keep your top layer out of the way.
  3. Small Hair Clips : For the finer details and securing smaller sections.
  4. Hair Extension Brush : For a smooth, tangle-free base.
  5. Hot Tool: Optional but highly recommended for heat styling.
  6. Hand Mirror: Optional, but helpful for seeing the back of your head.

Step 1: Prepare Your Hair

  1. Brush It Out: Give your hair a good brush to remove tangles and smooth the base. Brushing hair to prepare for clip-in extensions
  2. Create a Parting: Start at the lower back of your head and create a horizontal parting where your first weft will sit. Creating a horizontal parting for hair extensions

Step 2: Clip Up Your Hair

  • Secure the top layer of hair above the parting using large hair clips. Clipping up the top layer of hair

Step 3: Prepare the First Weft

  • Open all clips on the weft and ensure it fits comfortably along your hairline. Opening clips on a hair extension weft

Step 4: Install the First Weft

  • Position the clips just below the parting, snap them into your hair (not your scalp), and secure each clip. Installing the first hair extension weft

Step 5: Create a New Parting

  • Release the clipped hair, create a new parting about half an inch above the last, and clip the top section again. Creating a new parting for layered extensions

Step 6: Install Additional Wefts

Step 7: Check for Gaps

Step 8: Add Side Pieces

Step 9: Style Your Hair

  • Style using a heat tool set between 320–360°F, blending your natural hair with the extensions. Styling hair with clip-in extensions

Step 10: Removing the Hair Wefts

  • Snap open all clips and gently lift each weft away from your hair—no pulling.
